When AI is used, it functions only as a supplemental tool—for tasks such researching, creating macros, outlining, or limited rewriting—and never replaces my professional editorial judgment. The AI tools I use are private, secure, and configured to prevent client data from being used to train global or public AI models. I am open about my AI practices, work within each client’s comfort level, and continually educate myself on best practices, including earning a certificate from Erin Servais’s highly acclaimed AI for Editors course in 2025.
